My work is figurative, but it is not realistic in the traditional sense. The human form, it's inherent balance and beauty, is rich with possibilities, and can be stretched, flattened, pushed to the limits in the pursuit of some deeper, more universal truth.
The forms themselves are inspired by nature, by the textures of weathered stone and wood, and play with recurring archetypes - the wanderer, the warrior, the mother, the lovers, the storyteller - to explore some part of what it means to be human.
